Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled nursing care in the home setting, implementing the physician-ordered plan of care while delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centered services. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex clinical needs and be comfortable performing specialized nursing procedures independently.

Required Clinical Experience

Candidates must have hands-on experience with:

  • Straight catheterizations

  • Enteral feedings

  • Baclofen pump management

Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders and the established plan of care

Assess patient condition and monitor for changes in health status

Utilize critical thinking and sound clinical judgment to address patient needs and ensure quality outcomes

Administer treatments, medications, and specialized nursing procedures within the RN scope of practice

Perform and manage enteral feeding regimens and catheterization procedures as required

Monitor and maintain Baclofen pump therapy according to physician orders and established protocols

Communicate effectively with physicians, caregivers, and the care team regarding patient status and care needs

Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely clinical documentation

Follow all agency policies, procedures, infection control standards, and nursing practice regulations

Promote patient safety, dignity, comfort, and independence in the home environment

Treat patients, families, caregivers, and team members with professionalism, courtesy, and respect

Qualifications

Current, unencumbered Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience required

Three (3) or more years of nursing experience preferred

Current BLS/CPR certification

Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray, as required

Valid Texas driver's license

Current automobile insurance

Reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull throughout the workday

Ability to safely assist with patient mobility and transfers

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed for patient care
