As a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions across the lifespan.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests in accordance with state regulations and organizational protocols.
- Perform office-based procedures such as suturing, wound care, joint injections, and Pap smears.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Coordinate care with specialists, community resources, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document patient encounters accurately within the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide occasional coverage at York General Urgent Care for the evaluation and treatment of acute illnesses and minor injuries within scope of practice.
What You'll Bring:
- Graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
- Current Nebraska RN and APRN licensure.
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC.
- Current BLS certification.
- Prescriptive authority, including controlled substance prescribing privileges as applicable.
