**Join Our Team as a HI CNA!**
**Job Description:**
Are you ready to make a real impact in the lives of patients? We're looking for compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this important role, you'll provide crucial support to patients in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Provide tub, sponge, and bed baths to patients.
- Assist ambulatory patients with showers and provide non-ambulatory patients with showers using a shower gurney.
- Support patients with toileting needs, including positioning bedpans and escorting to commodes/urinals.
- Help patients with dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene activities.
- Assist with oral hygiene care, including brushing teeth and caring for dentures.
- Measure and accurately record patient intake and output.
- Administer enemas under the supervision of a nurse.
- Collect stool, urine, and sputum specimens for analysis.
- Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, documenting findings accurately.
- Document all patient interactions and observations in accordance with established protocols.
- Safely position, lift, and transfer patients using appropriate equipment.
- Assist with range of motion exercises and patient mobility.
- Prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding as necessary.
- Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
- Transport patients via gurneys and wheelchairs as needed.
- Participate in recreational activities planned by licensed personnel.
- Contribute to patient care plans by reporting any observed changes.
- Execute routine treatment procedures as directed by the nursing team.
- Apply oxygen via nasal cannula or mask as per instructions.
- Follow safety and infection control policies diligently.
- Maintain clean and organized patient care areas.
- Interact positively with patients and their families.
- Assess and respond to the age-specific needs of each patient.
- Uphold confidentiality of all patient and facility-related information.
**Other Duties:**
- Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Manage and secure patients' clothing and personal property.
- Sterilize medical equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Attend in-service education programs to stay current with best practices.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
**Knowledge and Abilities:**
- Demonstrated proficiency in providing a full range of patient services independently, following facility policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of personal hygiene and bodily care practices.
**Shift Information:**
- Evening shift (2:45 pm to 11:30 pm) OR Night shift (11:00 pm to 7:00 am)
- Holiday coverage may be required
**Minimum Years of Experience:**
- 1 year
**Certifications / Requirements:**
- BLS/BCLS certified
